Naoufal Houmairy – Junior Tennis Academy Director

Naoufal Houmairy started playing tennis at the age of 10 and became so passionate about it that he started competing nationally. He then started playing semi-pro tournaments when he turned 17. Naoufal has been a tennis professional since 1999 and has accomplished many accreditations in his career: (1) PTR Certified Professional in High Performance and 10 & Under, (2) USPTA Certified, and (3) Etcheberry Certified Professional. Naoufal has over 19 years experience of tennis coaching and teaching. Each summer, since 2008, Naoufal was the head pro at Wayland Swim and Tennis Club until becoming the director of tennis in 2014. As of 2016, Naoufal is the Head Coach for the girls Varsity tennis team at Noble and Greenough. He also currently coaches women and men’s teams of DBH and Central Mass League since 2002 and runs D.H.A.C Junior Tennis Academy since September of 2014 at Dedham Health Athletic Complex.

Naoufal is avid to improve his players’ game, play and performance on a daily basis.  He is one of the 8 Master Racquet Technicians (MRT) in Massachusetts. Naoufal owns and runs Strings and Things Pro Shop, a tennis specialty pro-shop located inside D.H.A.C. He thoroughly enjoys helping his clients meet their needs when it comes to tennis equipment. When Naoufal is not on the court teaching or at the shop stringing racquets or advising clients, he will most likely be playing tennis for fun and/or competition.

Nadia Choqri Sablon – Coach

Originally from Morocco, she has represented her country in many domestic, international tennis tournaments including WTA competitions & the African Championships. She was ranked among top ten Moroccan juniors & was the Moroccan women’s singles champion in her category in 1995. Nadia is PTR certified & has 18 years of junior & adult coaching experience. Nadia manages & coaches 2 mixed doubles teams with a successful season that lead to nationals 3 years in a row.  Before joining DHAC in 2003, she was an instructor & the lead tennis professional for children’s tennis at Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center in Boston from 2000-2002.

Alberto Ramirez – Coach

Alberto was a professional tennis player in Columbia, as well as the captain of the 12’s and under Colombian team in South America. Alberto holds both ITF and PTR certifications, enjoys working with kids from ages 10 and under to high performance. Alberto has an incredible 35 years of coaching experience.

Biodun Ibiribigbe – Coach

Biodun Ibiribigbe  (AB) was born in lagos Nigeria where he grew up learning the game of tennis.From learning the game at a young age he played in both local and international tournaments under the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and also played in USTA leagues. With passion  For the game,  he started teaching. With over 20 years of playing and teaching experience, Biodun has taught in both recreational tennis clubs and summer camps to the date.He continues to spread his experience with teaching tennis to all ages and levels of players.  Biodun is PTR certified with a professional rating ,also is a Certified Safety Care Professional. Biodun is pleased to be part of the coaching team at Dedham Health Athletic Complex.

Jonathan Zelman – Coach

Jonathan has been playing tennis since he was 8 years old and competed throughout his junior years in both New England and National tournaments.  He retained a top-5 ranking in New England through the 12’s and 14’s and was a Boston globe All-Scholastic award winner for his high school team. Jonathan is PTR certified and enjoys teaching all ages and skill levels.

Andrea Yanoff – Coach

Andrea Yanoff grew up in Rumson, New Jersey area and has helped coach youth sports in the Westwood area. She enjoys working with children of all ages. Sports she has coached in the past have been soccer, tennis, softball and lacrosse. Andrea has been playing tennis since she 9 yrs of age and played many sports throughout her years. She is currently playing on the CMITA 1 team as well as the DBH 2 South team. In the spring she will be playing on the USTA tennis team as well as the WSTL Woman’s Spring League.

Andrea has been a team captain on her teams for over 5 years and is a certified member of PTR and USTA. She loves being with family, traveling and working out.

Eric Gong – Coach

Won a USTA Open 4.0 tournament and an active player for 2 consecutive year champion of men’s team CMITA A1 league  at BSC Wellesley.

Ex Ski instructor at Stratton Mountain, Stratton/Winhall VT and Okemo Mountain, Ludlow VT.

Ibukun Ilesanmi – Coach

Ibukun Ilesanmi.  (IB).  Originally from Nigeria. Where he was a member of Nigerian Davis Cup team, and Member of Team Nigeria for the All African Games in 2003. He also reached the top Nigeria tennis ranking of #4. IB  also played a lot of futures and challengers in various countries. That lead him to be ranked in the world ATP singles and Doubles from 2001 to 2005

IB came to United State in 2005 where he attended Shaw University in Raleigh NC. He received a B.S degree in Chemistry. While he was attending Shaw university he played on the tennis team, where he was name the Shaw University Most Valuable player in 2006-2007. Also, in the school conference he was name the CIAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Year 2007. CIAA Men’s Tennis Tournament MVP 2007

IB worked as tennis professional at Total Tennis in NY for 4 summers where he taught adult and junior, also ran mixers round robin successfully. He moved to Corolla light resort as the Head tennis professional where he ran adult and junior program successful. IB moved back to Raleigh NC and worked at Seven Oaks Swim and Racquet club as a Tennis professional. Where he teaches junior and adult. Work with different junior team tennis that won state championships. Adult teams, different level that won state Championships. He Develop juniors that are top ranked in South. Works with different Top ranked juniors in the NC. Worked with WTA players that are currently ranked in the world.

IB currently holds:

Meghan Harrington – Coach

Meghan Harrington joins the JTA staff after 18 years playing tennis at DHAC, having served as team captain for teams in The Bay State Conference (MITA), Dorthey Bruno Hill Indoor Tennis League and the Woman’s Suburban Tennis League. She is a PTR certified coach for Ages 10 and under.  Meghan has also coached and or served on the board of multiple youth sports organizations in the town of Westwood, where she resides with her husband and three children. When not on the court, Meghan can be found on the golf course or the beach enjoying time with her family.

Mundo Piatelli – Coach

My name is Mundo Piatelli, I love to work with kids and have for most of my life. I was a two-sport athlete in high school playing varsity hockey and lacrosse. I spent time teaching kids how to skate at my father’s rink, and how to play lacrosse at my uncle’s lacrosse clinics. I have been playing tennis recreationally for some time and have a love for coaching.

Noura Guermazi – Coach

Carmen Alfonzo – Trainer

Carmen was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Carmen has a degree in sports and Master in training. Carmen made the  Colombian National basketball team and played in college where she won’t five nationals Championships. Later in her career, she received a full  scholarship to play basketball at Oklahoma city university where she won the national championship in NAIA division 1.
Carmen decided to move to Boston where she started to train for 5 and 10k races around New England. In 2015 and 2017, she represented again the Colombian National  Maxi basketball team to play the World cup in Orlando and Italy.
Carmen’s main focus is fitness and she proudly joined the DHAC Junior Tennis Academy team in 2016 and achieved her Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certification to train and challenge our young players.
In 2018, Carmen ran for first time a marathon and qualified to run Boston marathon 2019.
In 2019, Carmen ran Boston marathon and Beantown marathon and also she joined to be the fitness coach for the swimming team at DHAC

Benjamin Conviser – Assistant Coach

My name is Benjamin Conviser. I am Freshman at Needham High School.  I have been playing tennis at DHAC since I was 5.

In 2019 I began teaching tennis with the junior clinics at DHAC with the U10s. I recently became PTR certified and have been playing USTA tournaments and building my rankings. My goal is to play for my high school team and beyond.  My favorite player is Rafael Nadal.  Like Rafa I don’t quit. My passion for the game has never been stronger. I hope to introduce young players to the game that has made a positive impact on my life. Vamos Tennis!

Sasha Svetlov – Assistant Coach

Sasha Svetlov is currently a student at Needham High school. She has been playing tennis since she was five years old and now starts for her varsity team. She has now been working as part of the DHAC JTA staff for two years. She hopes to continue this career after high school and keep furthering her PTR certifications.

Mathew Malley – Assistant Coach

Mathew is a Senior at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood and is a member of the Varsity Tennis Team. He has been playing tennis for most of his life and plays both singles and doubles for the Xaverian Hawks. He is excited to be able to work with kids of all ages and teach various aspects of the game. Mathew is very interested in the statistics behind tennis and puts an emphasis on helping players develop their on-court intelligence, so that they will become more suited to make smart and high-percentage decisions in their match play.

Mathew is a PTR certified instructor and is eager to motivate young players into becoming the best that they can be both on and off the court. Outside of tennis, Mathew enjoys all sports and serves as a manager for the Xaverian Varsity Basketball Team.

Samantha Cahoon – Assistant Coach

Samantha is currently a sophomore at Ursuline Academy. She has been playing tennis since she was 3 years old. In her 4th year on her school’s Varsity tennis team, she has helped her team achieve 2 South Sectional Finals, 1 South Sectional Championship, 1 State Semifinal and 2-time Catholic Conference Championship. When she is not teaching tennis, she likes to spend time with her family and her two dogs.
